Our Online Simulated Moderator - Socrates®
Imagine doing online interviews that truly engage consumers, enabling them to reveal their underlying thought processes. Imagine online software that actually probes respondents for clarity and depth. Imagine being able to obtain qualitative insights with quantitative reliability, all at once.
With Socrates, our simulated moderator, hundreds of in-depth conversational interviews can be conducted simultaneously, to uncover the motivational triggers of your target audience.
Of course, Socrates can interview small consumer samples, too - replacing traditional face-to-face qualitative at a fraction of the cost, without the need to travel!

Linguistic Expertise to extract and quantify Consumer Ideas
Quester is a marketing research company with deep roots in the study of language – linguistics. Socrates was developed using linguistic concepts, and our analytic techniques rely on the same principles.
Quester researchers are trained to identify the cues in consumer language – “hidden” in Socrates interview transcripts - that indicate underlying meaning and motivation. We use these cues to trace the logic links between ideas, to create a full picture of the consumer’s decision making process. To facilitate our in-depth analysis, we use our proprietary text processing software, Aristotle®, to extract and quantify what’s really on consumers’ minds.
